Sexuality is a vital part of being human, whether we have a disability or not. When it comes to questions concerning sexuality and disability, many people are either misinformed or make assumptions that are simply wrong.

This tip sheet intends to help parents, youth and caregivers by addressing the questions, debunking the myths and providing a good starting point to initiate discussion about disability and sexuality. It outlines a number of key issues, a list of valuable resources, and endeavours to ease the dialogue about this sometimes difficult subject.
