Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Program Director the Technologist will:

• Check all returned equipment to determine functionality
• Refurbish functioning but worn equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning devices
• Update status of equipment in IS
• Determine necessity for 3rd party repair and arrange for RMA and shipment to  3rd  party facility  
• Generate purchase orders for service spares and 3rd party repairs
• Maintain service stores
• Monitor return of 3rd party repairs
• Develop testing procedures for all devices carried by the equipment pool
• Confirm IS backup procedures
• Provide phone technical support to clinics and clients
• Upload technical updates and software to CEP BBS
• Maintain and service CEP office computer systems
• Oversee backup procedures for CEP information system and BBS
• Assist CEP education and training programs with setup and technical support

Qualifications:

• Diploma in electronic and computer science
• Knowledge of a variety of electronic test equipment
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with technical literature
• Ability to relate well to professionals, AAC consumers, and family members.
• Ability to work independently following defined operational procedures
• Self learner
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work as a member of a coordinated team
• Effective English language communication skills
• 1-2 years experience in electronic hardware repair facility
