About Bloorview

Outbreak of enteric illness is now over – Feb. 8, 2010

Please be advised that the outbreak of enteric illness that started on January 28, 2021 on Bloorview’s 3rd floor, inpatient area is over as of February 8, 2021. All clients who were ill with symptoms of enteric illness have now recovered.

In keeping with our regular visitor policy, we are again permitting a maximum of 4 visitors per child on all 3rd floor units.  

The enteric illness experienced at Bloorview was caused by a virus (Norovirus) that is currently prevalent in the community. As always, Bloorview recommends regular hand washing to prevent the spread of illness.

Please do not come to Bloorview if you are sick.
