About Bloorview

Awards: 2007 Circle of Honour Recipients

Generous, innovative, inspirational, philanthropic, motivational, role models – just some of the characteristics embodied by this year’s five Circle of Honour recipients.

The Circle of Honour is Bloorview’s highest honourable award.  The 2007 awards were handed out to five deserving recipients at Bloorview’s Annual General Meeting on June 21, 2007.

Brett Mitchell was honoured for his work that brought the touching and courageous stories of Bloorview children into over one million Canadian homes through two CTV W-Five documentaries.

Spledido’s Yannick Bigourdan and David Lee combined culinary genius with charitable work. They were honoured for their philanthropic work to raise money for the Bloorview Nursery School Programs across Toronto.

Phil Ferguson delivered a moving speech in memory of his late wife Beverley Antle who received a Circle of Honour Award for her dedicated work in the field of social work for children with disabilities. Her passion and commitment will leave a lasting legacy.

The audience was left speechless and in a standing ovation as Sandy Mitchell took the stage to accept his Circle of Honour award for his dedication to WindReach Farms and WindReach Recreational Village in Bermuda.

Congratulations to all of the Circle of Honour recipients. Wishing you the best in your future endeavours!
