About Bloorview

Organizational Accountability: Accessibility Plan

Accessibility is a key priority for Bloorview. Given the nature of the clients we serve, accessibility is foremost in our planning, program development and services.

There is no clearer evidence of Bloorview’s commitment to accessibility than our newly constructed building at 150 Kilgour Road. This building places us at the forefront of accessible design and construction, as many of its features—which are highlighted in this document—promote barrier-free thinking at its most progressive.

As a publicaly-funded hospital, Bloorview is obligated to develop an Annual Accessibility Plan, as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) legislation. Advancing this initiative is the responsibility of our Accessibility Planning Advisory Committee, a group that represents a cross section of our organization and who is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and implementing accessibility plans and programs on an annual basis.

2007-2008 Accessibility Plan:

  • Family Corner
  • Youth Corner
  • Kids Corner
